
I caught a local news segment showcasing the city of Torino, and there was a drinking chocolate called bicerin: thick hot chocolate with a shot of espresso, topped with fresh whipped cream or steamed heavy cream. I'll try to replicate it and post it on Flickr.

this formula is exactly how Starbucks describes its "new" mocha marble macchiato ... chocolate first and THEN the shot of espresso. does it really matter if the espresso goes first or last?

The video I saw had the shots in first, then pour in the hot chocolate. I think this way it mixes them nicely. Some recipes I read use the whipped cream, but the one in the video used the steamed heavy cream. This concoction means a long time on the treadmill. Yikes!
